i never was particularly interested in it.. but i've recently read professor brian cox's book (which accompanies a bbc series) and it's completely fascinating.. i'm quite interested in pictures of mars.

Voyager 2 is beyond pluto. It takes 16. 5 hours for a signal to travel one way. They used photos to see any debris and steer it clear. I didnt find the the wattage of the transmitter, but it is really low.

We in the UK are dealing with COVID all wrong

yeah, so boris johnson has plunged the whole of the uk back into a second lockdown.

kids are still going to school (thank goodness!

) but this second lockdown is ruining the economy and killing small businesses.. the first lockdown was forgivable because, at the time, nobody knew what we were dealing with.. but now, we know more and more about covid-19.. it is lethal to elderly people (the average age of deaths with covid in the uk is 82 years - the average age of deaths without covid in the uk is 81 years).. it is also lethal to obese people and people with diabetes.. i'd imagine hiv+ people are another vulnerable group.. but to everyone else, catching covid is fairly similar to catching the flu.

as i had mentioned in one of my past posts, i strongly felt the democrats would win the presidency because they know they can cheat and not get prosecuted.

case in point; everyone involved in the russian conspiracy.

and the republicans just don’t understand that they need to get in the gutter and fight back like the democrats.

The BLM types are getting rowdy. Little things like bullying older people at stores. The police here are neutered if they even show up. This will give KKK, aryans and the like a boost.

Collapse of JW Org - Possibly on the Horizon?

what i find interesting is even some of my pimi family is embracing the reality that all is not well with jw.org and that many current jws are just going through the motions due to not having a good way out of the org.

wondering what could realistically lead to the collapse of jw.org in the not distant future?

The hamstercwheel is running. Half hour group text on zoom every day, with "encouragement" if you miss, and an hour or more Saturday. The meetings are still timed like the hall was shared so some of us are stuck with 3 or 4 o'clock meetings

Wait to see what comes when "we" have to put on our necktie and drive to meeting, maybe on ice over half on zoom have no picture and you do see snacks being chewed and beverages
